I’ve been a professional photographer for over two decades — and it all began with Rachel Lomeli Photography.

Back then, I was capturing weddings, portraits, newborns, and the occasional boudoir session just for my brides. It was all love stories and beautiful beginnings, and I loved every minute. But over time, life shifted — and so did I.

After walking through the fires of divorce, motherhood, and rediscovery, I realized I wasn’t the same woman behind the lens anymore. In 2020, I rebranded as Sage River Photography, a name that reflects the grounded, wise, and wild energy I carry now — and the deeper kind of storytelling I’ve grown into.

I’m a proud mama of five incredible kids. My daughter Lizzy works alongside me in the business, and together we pour our hearts into everything we do.

My children are the reason I show up the way I do — with empathy, creativity, and an unwavering fire to keep going. They’ve made me stronger. More real. More rooted in what matters.

They are why I understand how important these moments are.

They are why I document life as it is — raw, fleeting, beautiful.

You’ll find me photographing all over Northern Nevada and Northern California — from the open wild of Carson Valley to the shores of South Lake Tahoe to the vibrant energy of Reno.

I also have a beautiful studio in downtown Gardnerville, NV, inside the historic Adaven Hotel — right above NV Ugly & Buckaroos. With seven curated rooms, a boho-chic vibe, and a full client closet (sizes S–4X), it’s a private, welcoming space made for transformation.

Whether you’re stepping in for boudoir, newborn, maternity, or creative portraits, you’ll be met with warmth, safety, and realness.
