Last summer, Sage River Photography proudly participated in the DAWG Days of Summer fundraiser at Sierra Shadows Lavender & Honey in beautiful Gardnerville, Nevada.
In partnership with Douglas Animal Welfare Group (DAWG), this community event raised funds to support medical and surgical care for shelter animals in Douglas County.
Hosted in collaboration with Sierra Shadows Lavender & Honey — under the leadership of owner and manager Daunelle Wulstein — the day was filled with wagging tails, purple blooms, and a shared mission to give back.
This fundraiser was designed to be fun and easy:
• A quick professional pet portrait
• One featured image
• Beautiful lavender backdrop
• $20 donation per pet
• 100% of proceeds benefiting DAWG
No formal time blocks.
No full session galleries.
Just a joyful community fundraiser centered around animals and impact.
Douglas Animal Welfare Group provides critical funding for emergency veterinary care, surgeries, and life-saving treatment for shelter pets.
Every portrait captured helped contribute directly to animals in need.
That’s the kind of photography that feels good.
The lavender fields at Sierra Shadows Lavender & Honey created one of the most stunning seasonal backdrops in Northern Nevada.
And if you loved these images…
You’re going to love what’s coming next.
Shortly after DAWG Days, Sage River Photography will be offering limited lavender mini sessions in Carson Valley.
These are:
• Structured mini sessions
• Multiple images available
• Limited time slots
• Peak lavender bloom
• High-demand seasonal portraits
And they sell out quickly every year.
If you want first access to booking, early announcements, and VIP priority scheduling…
👉 Make sure you are inside the Sage River VIP Photography Group.
That’s where lavender minis are announced first.
Spots are limited.
Lavender season is short.
And once they’re gone — they’re gone.
Sage River Photography is a boutique portrait studio located in historic downtown Gardnerville, Nevada, specializing in heirloom-quality portraits for families, newborns, seniors, boudoir, and seasonal mini sessions.
We believe photography should serve both legacy and community — and events like DAWG Days of Summer allow us to do both.
🐾 Grateful to Daunelle Wulstein and Sierra Shadows Lavender & Honey for creating space for meaningful community events — and to every pet parent who showed up to support DAWG.
Lavender season isn’t over yet…
Make sure you’re watching the VIP group. 💜
